The duo of Sumaia Jackson and Colin Cotter appeared on August 22.

Local band the Mostly Marys (Allen Samelson, mandolin; Mary Cranley, voice, fiddle, and guitar; Ryan Harlin, voice, guitar; Mary Schriner, voice, banjo, and harmonica; Scott Underwood, bass) opened our preview of the San Francsico Free Folk Festival on July 4.

Members of the Bay Area Sacred Harp Ensemble rounded out our preview.

Brittany and Natalie Haas opened our on-air folk festival on June 6.

As the festival continued, the Guzhong Ensemble of San Francisco introduced us to this traditional Chinese zither.

Local bluegrass band the Corn Likkers (Lauren Graves, bass; Ray Chen, fiddle; Eleanor Chen, vocals and banjo; Lael Sigal, fiddle; and Elijah Chen, guitar) then made a return appearance to close out the festival.

Carolyn McCaskey and Thomas Dewey were on hand to represent the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers on May 2.

Veteran singer-songwriter Jim Page appeared on April 11.

Keyboardist Eamonn Flynn appeared with his band Dublinesque (Felim Egan, Darcy Noonan, Hector Bragado) on January 31.
