Cheryl McEnaney of Real World joined Sandy Miranda for Folk Music & Beyond 11/10/12.
Cheryl McEnaney of Real World is an amazing, high-energy, great-vibes music business veteran. (She's the only woman I know who's been working in world music longer than I have!) She joined me on the air yesterday on KALW. She has worked with Peter Gabriel for 14 years, and also worked with David Byrnes' Luaka Bop, Rykodisc, and the Grateful Dead's Mickey Hart on Planet Drum and The World series. She also worked with Joe Boyd's legendary Hannibal catalog, served on the Board of the International Folk Alliance, and has served for 14 years on the World Music Grammy screening committee.
Besides all that, we had a GREAT time on the show. Cheryl played some classic music from around the world and some new releases from Real World.
